Connetquot Teachers Association Supports Connetquot Cobras Baseball Program

Coach Patrick Brennan of the Connetquot Cobras baseball team recently contacted Connetquot Teachers Association (CTA) with an update on his team's current record. Brennan was proud to be able to report that his team of 7th, 8th and 9th grade student athletes is 8-0, undefeated, and sitting atop the standings. The Cobras are a travel team of community youngsters and the CTA helps to financially support them.

The members of the Cobras baseball team have trained and played together for four seasons. Coach Brennan's youngsters are currently finishing up the spring travel schedule and hope to continue their winning ways. Recently Brennan told CTA President Loretta Powell that "... the boys, and coaching staff, really appreciate the sponsorship of Connetquot's teachers. The CTA's financial support has made it possible for these neighborhood boys to practice, play and enjoy themselves after a tough day at school, now that the springtime weather has arrived."

The CTA has financially supported community activities, such as two boys baseball and two girls softball teams this year. CTA Vice-President Brad Lindell added that "...there is no greater satisfaction than watching the children engaged in organized sports, knowing that you've helped make their enjoyment possible." The Connetquot Teachers Association reaffirms its commitment to the community, and encourages local businesses and organizations to join in supporting the youth of Ronkonkoma, Bohemia and Oakdale.
