Connetquot Teachers Association
Shares Championship
Connetquot Teachers Association (CTA) President Loretta
Powell was recently presented with a championship
trophy from the Connetquot Youth Association team
the CTA sponsored last year. In accepting the trophy,
Ms. Powell thanked, and congratulated, the coaches
and players for their effort. Ms. Powell went on to
say that the " ... CTA commitment to support
community organizations such as the Connetquot Youth
Association is firm, and continues. We encourage other
individuals, businesses and organizations in this
community to make a commitment to the youth of Ronkonkoma,
Bohemia and Oakdale".
For the upcoming season the Executive Board of the
Connetquot Teachers Association has made another financial
commitment, and doubled its support. This year the
CTA will sponsor two boys baseball teams, and two
girls softball teams which are part of the Connetquot
Youth Association and the Sunrise Little League.
CTA Vice-President Doug Sposato added that "...there
is no greater satisfaction than watching young boys
and girls engaged in organized sports, knowing that
you've helped make their enjoyment possible".
The Connetquot Teachers Association continues to make
that commitment, and encourages other local businesses
and organizations to do the same.
(L-R) CTA Representatives Kristin Brown
(Arthur Premm Elementary School), Chris Dolce (Connetquot
HS) and Susan Tafuri (John Pearl Elementary School) proudly
display the championship trophy presented to CTA President
